Our Charity – Evie’s Gift
You may have seen the Giving Back section on our website, giving details of a small, local charity, Evie’s Gift. The charity was set up by the parents of Evie Clover, who sadly passed away on 11th January 2018, at just 13 years old, as a result of an aggressive brain tumour.
When Evie was admitted to hospital her parents wanted to stay close by to support her. It was also important that they had the opportunity to rest, to ensure they were ready to confront hard medical decisions. They soon realised how difficult it was to find suitable low-cost accommodation nearby and resolved to help other parents in the same position.
The charity has two key goals:
- To give immediate financial assistance to parents whose children have been admitted to hospital with a life threatening or life limiting condition.
- To fund research into the rare brain cancer that took Evie from us too soon.
We knew Evie so this is a charity close to our hearts. Evie was a kind-hearted, generous young lady and Evie’s generosity of spirit lives on through the work of the charity.
Watches of Bath sponsors their annual 13-mile sponsored walk and sports memorabilia auctions. Keep an eye on our social media for the next auction.
