Watches of Bath x Bristol Bears RFC
At Watches of Bath, rugby is a sport that we particularly enjoy and when Bristol Bears offered us the opportunity to become their official watch retailer, it was an offer that we would not let slip. Having already become a partner of Bath Rugby, a partnership with Bristol Bears would add another dimension to the derby both at the Rec and Ashton Gate. The partnership with Bristol Bears was announced in September and is for the 2023/24 and 2024/25 seasons and will lead to the Watches of Bath logo being visible on the back of the playing shorts for both the men’s and women’s teams.
A major reason the partnership with Bristol Bears arose was due to our desire to become involved in women’s rugby which for us is a new experience and an exciting future. This ambition to have both and men and women’s teams competing at the highest level is matched by the High-Performance Centre which enable both teams to train at the highest standard.
Bristol Bears, under the guidance and coaching of director of Rugby Pat Lam, have become a team that plays expansive and exciting rugby. Over the last couple of years have added some high profile players to the squad including Ellis Genge, Max Malins, Benhard Janse van Rensburg but none more so this summer than Virimi Vakatawa.
